India Revokes the Air Suvidha Forms for Travellers from Other Countries

India stopped using the Air Suvidha Forms for international travellers on Monday. It is no longer necessary for incoming international passengers to complete the self-declaration forms for Covid vaccination on the Air Suvidha portal. It is significant to remember that the choice will take effect at midnight. “In the light of sustained declining COVID-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in COVID-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised ‘Guidelines for International Arrivals,” the Civil Aviation Ministry’s notice reads. • Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on 10.05.2022 last reviewed the COVID- 19 guidelines for international operations
• In the light of the sustained declining COVID-19 trajectory and significant advances being made in COVID-19 vaccination coverage both globally as well as in India, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has issued revised ‘Guidelines for International Arrivals’ dated 21.11.2022 in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
• The extant guidelines of MoHFW on submission of self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal stand discontinued.
• The above decision would be effective from 22.11.2022 (00:01 Hrs IST) until further orders. This will be reviewed, if needed, as per the prevailing situation.
• This has the approval of the Competent Authority.

The protocols to be complied with by international travellers, as well as points of entry (airports, seaports and land border), shall be valid w .e.f. 22nd November 2022 (00.01 Hrs IST) till further orders. 1. Planning for Travel All visitors should be completely vaccinated in accordance with their country’s primary vaccination schedule against COVID-19. During Travel There will be in-flight announcements about the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as instructions on how to take precautions (preferably using masks and keeping a physical distance). Any traveller having COVID-19 symptoms must be separated in accordance with established practise, which calls for the usage of a mask, isolation from other passengers throughout the flight or journey, and eventual transfer to an isolation facility for further care. 3. On arrival De-boarding must be carried out to secure physical separation. The health professionals on duty at the point of the entrance should conduct thermal screening on each and every passenger. Passengers who show symptoms during screening must be brought to a recognised medical facility right away and isolated in accordance with health procedures (as above). All passengers should keep a health record after arriving and report any symptoms to the closest medical facility or by calling the national hotline number (1075) or state helpline number.
