Scoot to Resume Flights to China and Other Popular Holiday Destinations

Following the lifting of travel restrictions around the world in 2022, Scoot says it has resumed the majority of its pre-Covid routes, increased its flight frequencies to match the growing demand. Scoot also released New flight schedules for Pikachu Jet.

Scoot Resumes Flights to China and Other Popular Holiday Destinations Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has announced its plans to gradually restart flights to and from China in response to the growing demand for travel following the easing of border restrictions. Additionally, Scoot intends to increase flight frequencies across its network, focusing on destinations that are frequently visited during the summer season in countries such as Australia, Greece, Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia. Following the lifting of travel restrictions around the world in 2022, Scoot says it has resumed the majority of its pre-Covid routes, increased its flight frequencies to match the growing demand, and extended its network with the introduction of new destinations, including Jeju, Lombok, Makassar, Miri, and Yogyakarta. Scoot Flights to China

Scoot has announced its plans to progressively increase the number of flights to China from 14 times weekly to 26 times weekly by the end of Northern Winter 2022 (March 25 2023). This will be achieved by increasing the flight frequencies to seven of its existing points, which include Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Tianjin, and Zhengzhou. The pace of resumption will continue into the Northern Summer period (March 26 to October 28 2023), with Scoot planning to resume flights to Haikou, Ningbo, and Xi’an in April 2023. This will bring the total number of weekly flights to China to 42 times weekly by the end of April 2023. Furthermore, with the resumption of services to Nanning and Shenyang in May 2023, customers can expect a total of 57-times weekly flights to China by the end of June 2023. Scoot Chief Executive Officer, Leslie Thng, said, “Scoot has been anticipating the return of travel to and from China, and we will scale up operations to meet the demand from this sizeable market. We will also ramp up frequencies to other popular summer destinations as customers continue to seek travel to connect with loved ones, explore new cultures and create new experiences. Other Popular Destinations for Summer

Scoot has announced that it will be increasing flight frequencies to several popular warm-weather destinations, just in time for summer travel planning. For example, Athens will see an increase in flight frequencies from two times to four times weekly, while Perth will have an increase from 10 times to 12 times weekly. Additionally, flight frequencies to Sapporo via Taipei will increase from three times to four times weekly, and flight frequencies to Tokyo via Taipei will increase from 10 times to 12 times weekly. Closer to Singapore, Scoot will also increase flight frequencies to Langkawi from four times to seven times weekly and Manado from three times to four times weekly. Scoot says, however, some adjustments will be made to optimize resources and accommodate other operational considerations. As a result, Scoot’s services to the Gold Coast will be suspended after July 17, 2023 (the last flight out of the Gold Coast). Customers with existing bookings will be informed of their options.

New Schedules for Pokemon Air Adventures Flights

The Pikachu Jet will be flying to Taiwan in March 2023, offering customers a total of eight scheduled flights during that month.
